After shaking off the disappointment of the missed victory in Baku, Ferrari will introduce the new front wing already at the next race in Singapore, ahead of the schedule originally planned.

Following a difficult mid-season phase that dampened the spirits of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, Ferrari managed to reverse the negative trend at Monza by effectively introducing much of the third and final major aerodynamic upgrade package scheduled for this season.

While the upgrades introduced at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona had slowed down the excellent competitiveness displayed by the SF-24 in the first eight races, the new floor and slight modifications to the bodywork provided the Maranello engineers with the desired feedback, and the results confirmed the performance improvement of the car.

The series now moves to Singapore, at the Marina Bay street circuit, a track historically friendly to Ferrari. Just think of last year’s edition, where Carlos Sainz was able to end Max Verstappen's dominance, taking home the only non-Red Bull victory of the 2023 Formula 1 season.

Although the layout has a few fewer corners than the original version, the winding street circuit of Marina Bay should still suit the characteristics of the SF-24, which has shown to perform well on street circuits this year.

Ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, we had reported some paddock rumors from Monza, suggesting that Ferrari was considering bringing forward the introduction of the new front wing, which was originally scheduled to debut in Austin at the start of October. However, according to information from F1ingenerale, the Ferrari engineers under Diego Tondi have decided to accelerate the timeline. The new wing, which will also take advantage of the flexibility of composite materials, like the wings of the MCL-38, is now ready to debut this week in Singapore.

The goal is to improve aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds while also generating more downforce in low-speed corners, which are crucial for finding lap time across the 19 turns of the Marina Bay circuit.

After shaking off the disappointment of the missed victory in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix at the Baku City Circuit and the lost podium for Carlos Sainz following his contact with Sergio Perez on the last lap, Ferrari is going all-in for the final six races, fully aware of McLaren’s superiority but still with the mathematics on their side in the battle for the 2024 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship
