Ferrari in the Brazilian GP: A Review

The Brazilian Grand Prix weekend turned out to be challenging for Ferrari, which finished the event with fewer points than hoped for. Five points were lost in Saturday's dry Sprint Race and another two in Sunday's race, increasing the gap between Ferrari and McLaren. The Maranello team appeared far from the form that had allowed them to win consecutively in the US and Mexico GPs. However, the damage was limited, especially when compared to McLaren, which was the real disappointment on Sunday in São Paulo. With this result, the gap between Ferrari and McLaren in the Constructors’ standings widened from -29 to -36, but the competition remains open. Charles Leclerc, despite the difficulties, expressed optimism for the upcoming races, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming events.

Charles Leclerc Targets the Las Vegas Grand Prix

The next key goal for Ferrari is the Las Vegas Grand Prix. In 2023, the Italian team surprised everyone by challenging the dominant Red Bull, securing pole position and second place in the race thanks to Leclerc, who overtook Checo Perez in an exciting last-lap move. This year, despite some concerns about handling the lower temperatures, Charles Leclerc remains confident in securing important points: "Last year in Las Vegas, we were very competitive, and we hope to repeat that. Although this year our tire management has improved, the cold can challenge us, as we saw in Brazil and could happen in Las Vegas. But I remain optimistic and believe we can achieve a good result. We have two weeks to prepare and come in ready and competitive." – he pointed out following the event which was held last weekend at the 4.309-kilometre Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace in Brazil.

Charles Leclerc is convinced that the Las Vegas circuit could be favorable to Ferrari. "The track suits our car well, and we had a good performance there last year. Although tire management could be challenging, I believe we can achieve a great result in Las Vegas. A double podium would help us close the gap to McLaren and continue fighting for the Constructors’ title, though it will be a tough challenge. We can also aim for a good result in Abu Dhabi, while Qatar, unfortunately, will be more difficult. There are only three races left, and our goal is to make the most of them." – the Monegasque driver concluded.
