Countdown to Formula 1
The 2025 Formula 1 season kicks off on Sunday with the Australian Grand Prix at the 5.278-kilometre Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit in Melbourne. The stopwatch will be the ultimate judge, sweeping away all predictions that have followed the winter tests, which seem to have placed the McLaren Mercedes of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri ahead of the competition.

Davide Valsecchi's comments
Davide Valsecchi, the 2012 GP2 champion, analyzed the upcoming season in a live Instagram session with Marco Melandri: "I see Leclerc as strong, but Norris even stronger. It will be difficult to see both McLarens off the podium in Australia." – he pointed out.

The former Italian driver also responded to audience questions about the rivalry between Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc at Ferrari: "To be honest, I think Leclerc's first title is more likely than Hamilton's eighth. Until last year, Charles Leclerc was the star of Ferrari, but now he doesn't seem to be anymore, so I believe this could be his season."

Davide Valsecchi continued: "Now that Hamilton has arrived, everyone expects results from the British champion. But if Leclerc beats him in the first three or four qualifying sessions, he will gain incredible confidence and self-assurance. In the second half of last season, he scored the most points alongside Norris." – the Italian added.

He also commented on Kimi Antonelli: "He has talent, but let's give him four, five, or six races before focusing on him. At the start, he just needs to bring the car to the finish line, gain experience, and that's it." – the 2012 GP2 champion concluded ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.
