From Top Gear to F1, Jeremy Clarkson has something to say about everyone: first, he praises Verstappen, then takes aim at Lewis Hamilton, and issues a warning to Ferrari. According to the British television host, the Brazilian Grand Prix highlighted several key points. There's the strength of the Dutch driver leading the Drivers' Championship, cementing his place among motorsport legends, but also a blunt verdict on Lewis Hamilton.

Formula 1 left Brazil with a few more certainties about the season's end. Max Verstappen will likely be crowned world champion, potentially as early as Las Vegas. The Dutchman was too strong in the wet, lucky on Sunday despite a tough Saturday. His direct rival, Lando Norris, still falters under pressure and works with a team that may lack experience.

Ferrari, for its part, managed to limit the damage on a tough circuit. Las Vegas should offer more promise, possibly closing the gap to Woking in the Constructors' standings. But if Ferrari's present is solid, the future is uncertain: Lewis Hamilton is failing to be a consistent contender, once again finishing far behind his teammate George Russell.

Lewis Hamilton? Too old; Ferrari, you've been warned

This is the gist of Jeremy Clarkson's brief but pointed analysis. In his column for The Sun, the former Top Gear host shared his take on the Interlagos weekend: "We learned two important things during last weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix. Well, three, if you count Lance Stroll, who damaged his freshly-repaired car during the formation lap, then got himself stuck in the gravel."

"First, Max Verstappen is one of the all-time greats. He might even be the greatest driver we've ever seen. Second, Lewis Hamilton has passed his peak. He blamed his car for his qualifying performance, but his teammate George Russell was on the front row." – he believes – "Of course, it's possible that, given Lewis is moving to Ferrari next year, the team might fill his tank with lemon barley water instead of gasoline—but that seems unlikely. It's much more likely that he's just too old now."
