Fred Vasseur not giving up on Ferrari's F1 title dream: "Everything is still possible"

Since joining Ferrari in 2023, Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur has never shied away from his ambitions. Even with just six races left and McLaren pulling ahead, he continues to believe in the title. The dream hasn't faded yet.
The dream that doesn't fade
Frederic Vasseur’s fatigue is linked to the length of the 2024 Formula One season and the regret of losing so many points due to a sudden lack of competitiveness: "It's a season, I don't know why, but long. You have to keep in mind that doing 24 events is really long, but it's true we had some very good moments this season, with some wins, with many podiums. We had a difficult period in the middle, after Canada – Canada, the UK, Spain – they were a bit more challenging. And when you look at the championship today, the regret remains." – the French manager pointed out, ahead of the United States Grand Prix, which will take place at the 5.513-kilometre Circuit of The Americas in Austin on Sunday, October 20.
"We can't imagine the frustration because we're so close to being with them. But we still have 6 races to go, there are still a lot of points on the table, including the 3 sprint races. This means we have 300 points still ahead of us, and everything is possible,” he continued during the Trento Sports Festival earlier today.
Frederic Vasseur's dream remains the same as at the start of the season: “We've shown a good phase, the last 4-5 races, even when we weren't at the top of the standings, were very good. Everything is possible, we just have to keep pushing, developing the car, and we'll see how it goes,” the Ferrari team principal concluded.
