When Lewis Hamilton and Scuderia Ferrari announced they had signed a multi-year contract starting from the 2025 Formula One season, it was only February, and it was clear that the wait to see the English champion behind the wheel of the Ferrari would be quite long.

Lewis Hamilton won two Grands Prix this season, ending a 31-month drought, reassuring fans about his competitiveness.

In a long interview with GamblingZone, Juan Pablo Montoya expressed great confidence in the Lewis Hamilton-Ferrari pairing: “I think we’ll see the Lewis of old. He will want to prove everyone wrong. I believe that if everything goes well, Lewis could be a major threat for the championship. If Ferrari really wants to succeed, they must listen to Lewis’ suggestions and build the car around him.” – the former Formula One driver pointed out.

And what about Carlos Sainz

Juan Pablo Montoya also welcomed Carlos Sainz’s decision to join his old team, Williams: “I think he made the best decision. I believe Williams is on the same path as McLaren, but one or two years behind. They are improving and seem to have a very bright future. There could be fireworks between Carlos and Alex Albon. Alex will be under pressure to outperform Sainz.” – he concluded.
