Karun Chandhok defends Mattia Binotto: “He tried to create a culture without fear”

Through his official Twitter account, Karun Chandock, a former Formula 1 driver and now commentator for Sky Sports, wanted to share his thoughts on the news of Mattia Binotto’s imminent separation from Scuderia Ferrari.

Below are some of the comments made by the Sky Sports expert on Mattia Binotto being replaced in 2023 by the upper management of Ferrari, most likely with Frederic Vasseur:

Karun Chandock first wrote: “It will be a shame to see Mattia Binotto go. I have always found him interesting and helpful. He has tried to create a culture without fear and without guilt and, as part of his faults, has not made the changes as he should have” – the former Formula One driver wrote on Twitter.

Karun Chandhok then added: “Changing only the Team Principal is not the answer to everything: Ferrari needs a broader managerial restructuring” – he pointed out.

Finally, Karun Chandhok sent a suggestion to Scuderia Ferrari: “I wonder if Mattia can be moved into a technical leadership role, let’s not forget that this year they have designed and produced a very fast car. The creation of a better operational and development team for concepts and design is the key” – the Sky Sports Formula 1 expert concluded.
