Only 36 points separate McLaren, the championship leaders, from Ferrari. Lando Norris is wary of the red cars, especially on the unique Las Vegas track, and doesn't rule out Red Bull in a battle that will last until the final corner of the season.

“Is the momentum on our side or Ferrari’s? It’s close,” the Briton explained. “They’ve been strong for a while; they have two excellent drivers and a great team. They’ve clearly improved their car, finding a better direction to guide their developments,” Lando Norris observed – “By doing so, Ferrari has probably caught up with us,” admitted the McLaren driver. “In some races, they’re a bit stronger; in others, they’re slightly behind. Other times, we’re on the same level.”
Despite the undeniable competitiveness of the papaya-colored cars, Lando Norris slightly tilts the prediction in favor of his rivals, noting the momentum at this point in the championship. “I think it’s a bit more in their favor, but we’re close. Even Red Bull isn't far behind,” the 1999-born driver remarked, cautioning against underestimating the Austrian team.
Las Vegas and the Key to the Championship: Lando Norris's Expectations
The battle among McLaren, Ferrari, and Red Bull will be tight until the end, and for Lando Norris, the championship will be decided on one key factor. “The winner will be the one who manages to find more performance every single weekend.” Finding the optimal setup is—as Fred Vasseur often argues—a crucial factor in such a fiercely contested championship.
In Las Vegas, however, Lando Norris expects to lose some of his advantage over Ferrari. “We know this track is probably more favorable to Ferrari. Last year, it was like that.” But the story will be different in Losail: “Qatar, we know, should favor our car more.”
