Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton is already part of the Maranello team
Lewis Hamilton's first objective is not to win with Ferrari. That, in the seven-time world champion's hopes, will only be the result of a process that began yesterday, both on a technical level and in building interpersonal relationships. The Briton's initial goal was to unite the group and integrate quickly into the team dynamics—something he seems to have accomplished, thanks in part to his experience.
The post
In Ferrari's latest Instagram post, Lewis Hamilton appears visibly relaxed and cheerful, starting with President John Elkann, moving on to Frederic Vasseur and Benedetto Vigna, and finally greeting all the members of the Scuderia. He shook hands with everyone and spoke his very first words in Italian.
Lewis Hamilton himself helped put the shyer technicians at ease with a few jokes ("Are you hiding? Come over here, won't you?" or "Is it still Christmas?" to a technician wearing a December 25-themed sweater), breaking the aura of reverence toward the former rival.
Lewis Hamilton's words
In the video, Lewis Hamilton's first words as a Ferrari driver to the Maranello employees can be heard: "I've been waiting for this day forever, so I'm very, very happy. I'm thrilled to meet everyone, and I can't wait to get started."
