Monday, January 20, 2025, marked Lewis Hamilton’s factory debut as a Ferrari driver, and on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, he will make his debut behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car from the Prancing Horse. The countdown is almost over for one of the most anticipated firsts in the history of the category and the recent history of the Maranello team.
In the evening, Lewis Hamilton shared the first official photo of himself in the Ferrari suit, accompanied by the caption: “FIRST TIME IN RED,” written entirely in uppercase. Everything is set for tomorrow’s Fiorano test.
The day’s program
Regulated by very strict rules—primarily the requirement to use a car from previous seasons (either the SF-23 from 2023 or the F1-75 from 2022)—the day on track will feature Lewis Hamilton in the morning and Charles Leclerc in the afternoon, following the classic relay format between the two Scuderia drivers.
Starting at 11 a.m., Sky Italia F1 will offer a live stream of the Fiorano test on its YouTube channel (as well as on Now’s TikTok profile and website), featuring Vicky Piria, Davide Camicioli, and Marc Gené.
