In 2024, Charles Leclerc won in Monaco, his home Grand Prix, and the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, Ferrari's home race. The victory on the Monaco circuit came after years of waiting for Charles Leclerc, to the point that before this edition, there was talk of a "Monaco curse."

This "curse" was finally broken this year. Charles was fired up from Friday, continued his momentum on Saturday by taking pole position, and finished by standing on the top step of the podium on Sunday. It was an emotionally charged day for the world of F1 and for Monaco, as Charles Leclerc became the first Monegasque to win on the streets of his own country.

Moving on to Monza, Charles Leclerc had his first win on the Italian track in 2019, following up his victory at Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps. Ferrari hadn't been on the top step of the podium at the Temple of Speed for nine years. Charles Leclerc managed to make the Italian national anthem play at the end of the GP, in front of a roaring crowd, a scene that repeated itself five years later.

In the 2024 F1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, the Maranello team arrived from a decent weekend in the Netherlands where, after a disappointing qualifying session, the team still managed to recover during the race. Ferrari's struggles on Saturday didn't change at Monza, with Charles Leclerc unable to go beyond 4th position.

On the first lap, Charles managed to move up to second place. During the race, Oscar Piastri (the race leader up to that point) made an additional stop beyond the mandatory one. Charles Leclerc didn't respond to this move, deciding to stay on the Hard tires fitted during the mandatory pit stop. With an incredibly consistent stint, Charles Leclerc crossed the finish line first, allowing the Tifosi to relive the dream of 2019.

Which victory meant more to him?
To this question, Charles Leclerc responded quite honestly: "This year, Monaco. I have to be honest, at the Monaco Grand Prix, for four years, every time I dreamed or saw victory, or at least an opportunity, for one reason or another, I couldn't get it. Finally being able to tick off this goal was very special. It was a relief." – the Monegasque driver concluded.

Charles Leclerc, recalling the strong emotions of the 2019 Italian GP, concluded: "But between Monaco 2024 and Monza 2019, I can't make a choice."
