The Haas statement and the comments of the owner
These are the words used by the team on social media: “Confirmed our first driver for the 2025 season: Ollie has signed a multi-year contract with the team.”

These are the words of Gene Haas, team owner: “I am delighted that we have managed to give Oliver Bearman this opportunity to drive full-time in Formula 1: he is undoubtedly an exciting rookie prospect, not only based on what he showed in Saudi Arabia but also thanks to the time spent developing his relationship with our team.”

“Personally, I am excited to see his growth as a driver, and we look forward to seeing him in action for the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team next season and beyond. This is an exciting time for the team. Oliver’s signing shows that we continue to invest in talent, both on and off the track, to keep competing at the highest levels,” concluded the American.

The words of Ayao Komatsu
Ayao Komatsu, the team’s principal, said: “It is exciting to be able to give a young talent like Oliver Bearman his first full-time spot in Formula 1.”

“He has matured incredibly as a driver under the guidance of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy, and the world saw it with their own eyes when he was called at the last minute to participate in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.”

“Oliver has proven to be more than ready for this task, as we have seen ourselves by having him run with Haas in FP1 sessions over the last two seasons. We look forward to further developing him as a driver and reaping the benefits of his talent, both inside and outside the car.”

“Ollie is a fantastic guy and a very welcome addition to the team when he joins us for FP1 weekends. Now that we know the relationship will be long-term, it is a positive thing for all involved,” he concluded.

The comments of Oliver Bearman
The driver said: “It is difficult to express in words how much this means to me. Saying out loud that I will be a Formula 1 driver for the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team makes me immensely proud.”

“Being one of the very few people who get to do what they dreamed of as children is truly incredible. To Gene [Haas, team owner], Ayao [Komatsu, team principal], and all the employees at Haas, thank you for believing in me and trusting me to represent your team.”

“I have greatly enjoyed working with everyone since the first time we met in Mexico and I look forward to enjoying this moment with them and, hopefully, many more in the future,” he concluded.
