Pirelli towards the next three F1 GPs
F1 will take a break for three consecutive Sundays, but Pirelli is already focused on the next three rounds of the 2024 championship. The Italian manufacturer has revealed the compounds to be used in the U.S., Mexico, and Brazil GPs: rather aggressive choices, with the softest tire in the range—the C5, already a key player at Monza, Baku, and Singapore—making its debut at the Interlagos track.

Aggressive choice for the Brazilian GP
In São Paulo, Pirelli has decided to bring the C5 Soft, C4 Medium, and C3 Hard. This decision stems from the fact that in last year’s Brazilian Grand Prix, the hardest tire (then the C2) was dismissed for the race as it was deemed too uncompetitive compared to the softer compounds. The option of using softer tires should help create a race with more strategic variables.

Austin and Mexico City same as 2023
The 2023 choices have been confirmed for Austin and Mexico City. At the 5.513-kilometre Circuit of The Americas in Austin, the Hard C2, Medium C3, and Soft C4 compounds will be used for the first time since the Spa-Francorchamps weekend in Belgium. The three softest compounds in the Pirelli range—the C3, C4, and C5—will be featured on the Mexican track, known for its smooth asphalt and low grip, also due to the fact that the race takes place at 2,200 meters of altitude, resulting in thin air.
