Revised starting grid at Marina Bay with penalties applied | 2022 Singapore GP

Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc will start the Singapore Grand Prix from P1 today at the 5.063-kilometre Marina Bay Street Circuit. Charles defeated the Red Bull of Mexican driver Sergio Perez by just 0.022 seconds to secure pole position on Saturday, while Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton will start from third place, ahead of the other F1-75 car of Carlos Sainz, who will line up fourth, with fellow Spaniard Fernando Alonso one spot behind him in P5.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen starts the Singapore Grand Prix from P8 after a rare error made by the Austrian team in the final part of the qualifying session at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

George Russell suffered a surprising Q2 exit and was set to start from P11, but Mercedes announced that the British driver will begin today’s event from the pit lane as a result of several power unit components being changes on his car.

Here is the final starting grid for the 2022 F1 Singapore Grand Prix, which will be held at the Marina Bay Street Circuit:
