Sebastian Vettel has been a significant figure within the Formula 1 Circus. His actions and gestures over the years have brought immense value to the sport, earning him the respect of all drivers who admire the four-time world champion. Since his retirement in 2022, there has been much speculation about a potential return to another racing category. However, the German has now spoken on the matter, hinting that he is about to step away from motorsport entirely to embark on a career in agriculture.
Since 2022, former Scuderia Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel has supported numerous projects aimed at raising awareness about climate change. Last year, for instance, he installed several beehives in Suzuka, highlighting the inevitability of climate change. His commitment to sustainability was also evident in his laps around the track in vehicles powered by biofuels, such as during the Imola 2024 show run at the wheel of Ayrton Senna’s car.
While he has retained his love for driving, as shown by a test with the Porsche 963 from Team Penske in Aragon, which seemed to hint at a debut at Le Mans as a wildcard entry, this path now appears less likely following his latest statements.
“I am taking a small training course in agriculture,” Sebastian Vettel revealed on the sidelines of an award ceremony in Braunschweig. According to some media reports, he is enrolled in a program in Switzerland, where he now resides with his family. “If I pass, I will be qualified to manage a farm,” the German continued. It seems the time is drawing closer for Sebastian Vettel to hang up his racing helmet and dedicate himself to a new career.
