Valtteri Bottas is curious about the Ferrari battle between Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc in F1. The Briton's former teammate has confidence in #44, who will certainly have regained motivation. For the Finn, however, it's time to take a step back: in 2025, he will be Mercedes’ third driver, alongside the new team leader, George Russell, and rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

Lewis Hamilton's first season at the Maranello team will have to provide key answers right away. The first track tests of #44 in the older Ferraris have shown positive signs, but only in Melbourne will a clearer picture emerge.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Finn is already anticipating an exciting season: "Of course, [Hamilton] is very motivated. It's something new and refreshing for him, which can sometimes be a great trigger. But I'm also curious to see how he will fare against Charles [Leclerc]. It will be great to watch, I can already say that." – the former Williams, Mercedes and Sauber driver pointed out.

"Since the gaps at the top are quite small, even among four or five teams, making predictions will be really difficult, which is a good thing. I think it's great for the viewers and for the sport. The first races will set the direction, but as we saw last year with the small margins, if someone makes a step forward, it changes everything." – the Finn concluded.
