Jonathan Rea has been declared unfit for the Dutch World Superbike Round, so Jason O'Halloran will continue to replace him.

It has been confirmed that Jason O'Halloran will continue to work with the Pata Maxus Yamaha WorldSBK Team at the Dutch World Superbike Round.

The Australian rider was brought into the fold after Jonathan Rea was declared unfit for the Portuguese World Superbike Round, and Augusto Fernandez had to go and replace Miguel Oliveira in MotoGP.

O'Halloran had not tested the World Superbike spec Yamaha R1 before his first round with the team. However, he is signed with the YART World Endurance Championship, so had been testing the R1 recently.

During his first outing with the Pata Maxus Yamaha WorldSBK Team at Portimao, he finished 17th and 20th in Race One and the Superpole Race. But he failed to finish Race Two after crashing at Turn One, which caused the race to get red-flagged.

A statement from Yamaha Racing said:

"Medical Update: Following consultation with his medical team earlier this week, we can now confirm Jonathan Rea will miss Round 3 of WorldSBK at TT Circuit Assen.

"He will again be replaced in the Pata Maxus Yamaha team by Jason O'Halloran."
