Tom Booth-Amos Declared Unfit for Czech WorldSSP

PTR Triumph rider Tom Booth-Amos has been declared unfit for the Czech round of the 2024 World Supersport Championship.

Booth-Amos was running seventh in Race 1 on Saturday before running off and into the gravel on lap three, then coming back from 14th to ninth by the chequered flag, finally promoted to eighth after a penalty for Glen van Straalen.

However, on Sunday morning the #69 was declared unfit with "possible acute gastroenteritis", according to a communication from WorldSBK, meaning he will not be able to contend Race 2.

Booth-Amos is currently the top-placed Triumph rider in the championship in 13th place on 41 points. Jorge Navarro, who currently lies sixth in the championship, started the season on the WRP Triumph team, but since swapping rides with Lorenzo Baldassarri - Baldassarri taking Navarro's Triumph ride, Navarro moving into Baldassarri's previous Orelac Ducati seat - has become a podium contender, finishing fourth in Race 1 and third in Race 2 at last weekend's UK Round at Donington.

WorldSSP Race 1 in Most was won by Aruba.it Ducati's Adrian Huertas, who took his seventh win from 11 races to extend his championship lead over Barni Ducati's Yari Montella, who finished fourth in Most Race 1, to 37 points.
