2025 FOXBOROUGH SUPERCROSS PRE-RACE REPORT: INJURY REPORT, TV SCHEDULE & MORE

We’ve made it to the twelfth round of the Supercross series in Foxborough as the series heads back to the East Coast. Cooper Webb was able to grab the win in Seattle and has extended his points lead to eleven over Chase Sexton who finished second. The two riders have separated themselves from the rest of the field and are the two picks to become champion but the series is not nearly over. For the 250 class, last weekend was a West Coast division round whereas this weekend is East. Tom Vialle leads the pack but R.J. Hampshire and Seth Hammaker have been putting in great results in the last few rounds. Nate Thrasher is a little further back in points but has also grabbed a win this year. As we go racing in Foxborough it is anyone’s race.

2025 FOXBOROUGH SUPERCROSS: TV SCHEDULE

INJURED LIST:

HUNTER LAWRENCE – SHOULDER

Hunter has been sidelined due to a shoulder injury.

Hunter Lawrence has been diagnosed with a raised and partially torn labrum in his right shoulder, along with multiple cracks in his humerus bone. He had surgery on the labrum on Thursday, February 13, in Orange County, California, and because his expected recovery time is eight to 10 weeks, he is likely to miss the remainder of the Supercross season.

ELI TOMAC – BROKEN FIBULA

Eli Tomac stayed tough through the entire night of racing in Tampa even though he could be seen in visible pain. He even raced the 450 Main with a broken Fibula. He will not be returning in the foreseen future.

Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Eli Tomac will sit out the upcoming rounds of Monster Energy AMA Supercross to recover from a broken leg sustained during qualifying at Round 5 of the championship last weekend in Tampa, Florida. It was initially thought to be an ankle sprain and bruised calf, but upon further evaluation after the weekend, it was discovered that he had a broken Fibula.

LEVI KITCHEN – BACK / COLLARBONE

Levi Kitchen went down hard at the Daytona Supercross when he was kicked over the bars down a very fast section of the track. As a result, he ended up breaking his Collarbone and a few vertebrae in his back. Levi will be out the remainder of the season and it is unclear of his return.

PIERCE BROWN – BACK

Pierce Brown had a tough crash while leading the race in Tampa which resulted in a T5 break to his back.

“I felt great all night, leading my heat and main. Halfway through the main, I crashed in the whoops and unfortunately broke my T5 vertebrae. I had surgery to get it fixed so that I could get back to racing. I want to thank all my family, friends, fans, and the team for all of their support.”

JETT LAWRENCE – KNEE

This is the moment of disaster for Jett Lawrence’s right knee.

Jett Lawrence had an incident early in the season at the Glendale Supercross when he dabbed his knee on the ground, resulting in a torn ACL. The defending champion immediately pulled off the track and was unable to finish. After an MRI on the following Monday, it became clearer that he had torn his ACL. Jett has already gone under the knife to get it repaired. He will be missing the rest of the Supercross season and it’s unlikely that he’ll be ready to race by the time the Pro Motocross season starts in May.

JORGE PRADO – SHOULDER

Jorge Prado will be out for the rest of the Supercross season.

Unfortunately, Jorge Prado dislocated his shoulder in qualifying at Anaheim 2 and he will miss the rest of the 2025 Supercross season. The World Champion returned home to Spain to get his shoulder repaired and he is now on the road to recovery.

Jorge Prado stated:“Bad news: Surgery is needed to fix my shoulder and I will be out for the rest of the Supercross season. The time of rehab is unknown and hopefully, I can make it to the start of outdoors. I will be back strong like I always do.”

STILEZ ROBERTSON – WRIST

22-year-old Stilez Robertson has had a tough go with injuries.

Stilez Robertson sat out the entire 2024 season with a wrist injury. He was scheduled to race 250 East series for Triumph alongside Jalek Swoll, but things changed the week of Anaheim 1. Jalek got injured, and the team decided to switch Austin Forkner from West to East to fill Jalek’s void. They moved Stilez to the West division to accompany Jordon Smith. Sadly, Stilez aggravated his wrist at San Diego. He had to undergo surgery and will be out for the remainder of the season.

RYDER DIFRANCESCO – DAMAGED INTESTINE, ARM

Ryder Difrancesco has been seen back on the bike training for outdoors.

Sean Murphy, Team Manager for the Rockstar GasGas Team Manager said:“I am gutted that we share the news of Ryder D’s practice crash at RD Field yesterday. Ryder was immediately transported to the hospital, where he was evaluated for his injuries. In just his second year of racing Supercross, Ryder had been showing incredible potential and was making significant strides toward the podium. This setback early in the season is gut-wrenching, as Ryder was on an upward trajectory, improving with each round. Our rider’s safety and health will always be our top priority, and we will ensure that Ryder takes the necessary time to recover fully and come back stronger.”

Additionally, Ryder’s Mom, Lisa DiFrancesco, posted an update on Instagram: “Randy and I owe no explanations to Ryder’s injuries to anyone, and neither does the team. For those who are spreading and posting false information, please STOP; a simple prayer is more appropriate. I will, though, set the record straight. Ryder had a crash on his dirt bike the Thursday before A2. He suffered an injury to his small intestine, which was torn in two. The medical team had to remove some damaged intestine and his damaged appendix. They successfully reconstructed the intestine and put it back together. He also has a broken rib and arm, which are minor issues and the least of our worries compared to the rest. Ryder has been discharged from the hospital, is resting at home, and is on the path to recovery. To all those who have prayed for Ryder and sent heartfelt messages, thank you; Randy and I are very grateful. Ryder has an amazing team of people behind him that will help him return to racing his dirt bike.”

TALON HAWKINS – FEMUR

Talon Hawkins had a scary crash at San Diego when he attempted to seat bounce into one of the larger rhythm sections, sending him off the back of the bike and on the ground hard. As a result, he ended up breaking his femur and will be out for the rest of the Supercross season.

NOAH VINEY – SHOULDER

MCR Honda rider Noah Viney cased the famous San Diego Supercross quad during qualifying and dislocated his shoulder. He tried to ride the next session that day, but he wasn’t able to do it. He will miss the remainder of the Supercross season.

JALEK SWOLL – ACHILLES

Jalek Swoll was originally supposed to race 250SX East, but now he will miss the Supercross season entirely.

Jalek Swoll sustained an Achilles tear while practicing on Tuesday before Anaheim 1. Because of this, Triumph knew he wouldn’t be back on the bike in time to race 250 East, and they didn’t want to put Stilez Robertson (fresh off a season-long wrist injury) as their only rider on the 250 East Coast by himself. So, they pulled Austin Forkner from the West Coast lineup and moved him to be their lone rider representing Triumph on the East. It is not determined when we will see Jalek back on the bike.

JETT REYNOLDS – FEMUR

Jett Reynolds had a practice crash while training for Seattle where he ended up breaking his femur. He will be out for the remainder of the season.

Mike Bonacci said: “I regret to announce that Jett Reynolds had a fluke crash while training on Friday and suffered a broken leg. It will unfortunately take him out of racing for the balance of the Supercross season. He had surgery at 6 am this morning and will start his rehabilitation process next week. As you have seen, Jett was making great progress in the Supercross series and on the way to his best overall performance in his young career. He is obviously disappointed but will fight his way back to be even stronger for the outdoor series in May. Please wish him well.”

CAMERON MCADOO – KNEE

Cameron McAdoo hurt his knee prior to the seaon starting. He decided to ride and was actually one of the top riders in the class each week. He aggrevated the injury mid way through the season and it was in his best interest to get it fixed. He will be out for the remainder of the year.

CASEY COCHRAN – LEG INJURY

Casey Cochran had a crash in the offseason where he unfortunately had broken his femur. He has recently been back on the bike, but it was reported that the injury was still lingering. It is unclear if he will be lining up in the near future.

450 POINT STANDINGS (AFTER ROUND 11 OF 17)

Cooper Webb extended his points lead from eight to 11 in Seattle.

The 450SX Main Event was an absolute dogfight. Last year it went down to the final corner when Cooper passed Chase, and this year it was very similar, only Cooper passed Chase a few laps earlier. Still, at the very end, Chase was right on Cooper in the final turn, but Webb left no room for Chase Sexton to sneak up the inside.

Ken Roczen, Justin Cooper and Aaron Plessinger all rode well and battled at the front, too, but a crash from Justin Cooper allowed the leaders to get away, and Ken Roczen (suffering from a shoulder injury) faded backward later in the race.

250 POINT STANDINGS

In Birmingham, Seth Hammaker was the most dominant rider in mains two and three but an early crash in the first main hurt his overall chances. R.J. Hampshire was one of the faster riders on the track but he would also have a mistake that held him back. Tom Vialle finished third overall which kept him close to where he was in the points standings. Nate Thrasher grabbed his first win of the year and rode very consistently all night.
