AIT Racing lined up on Saturday for the second round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Oldebroek. Vencislav Toshev and Hakon Osterhagen both finished sixth in their respective classes.
Just before the start of the first 125cc moto, Toshev encountered a small problem, which forced him to line up behind the starting gate last. Despite this, he got off to a decent start and began the race around tenth place. Toshev rode a strong race and fought his way up to fifth.
In the second moto, he again emerged from the start around tenth place. He was riding well until mid-race when he began to make a few mistakes. He was also passed in the final corner of the last lap, which meant he crossed the finish line in sixth. This was also his position in the overall day results.
Hakon Osterhagen got off to a strong start in the 250 class by setting the fastest time in his qualifying group. A good start in the first moto allowed him to run in second place during the early stages. However, he then struggled with arm pump and had to ease off the pace. Even so, he didn't lose many places and finished a strong fourth.
In the second moto, he again had a good start but lost significant time due to a small crash. He recovered well and worked his way back up to eighth place.
With these results, Osterhagen secured sixth overall for the day.
Jake Davies also competed in the 250cc class. He was riding well until the final lap of the first moto, when he suffered a heavy crash. The bike landed on him, ending his day early. He is doing everything he can to recover quickly ahead of the upcoming races.
Petar Petrov only decided on Tuesday to compete in the race. He had completed just three training sessions in the past three months, so he had no expectations. He didn't get a good start in the first moto but worked his way up to tenth place. Unfortunately, he then crashed and dropped back to 18th. Petrov recovered well and finished in 11th place.
In the second moto, he exited the first corner just outside the top fifteen. After a series of nice overtakes, he moved into eighth place and launched an attack on seventh. Unfortunately, he crashed and did not finish the race.
Next weekend, AIT Racing will compete in the upcoming EMX rounds in the 125cc and 250cc classes in Agueda, Portugal.
