Could we see High Limit Racing and the World of Outlaws merge?

NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson is deeply invested in the sprint car racing world. High Limit Racing first formed with a limited schedule in the 2023 season featuring just 12 races.

Hear from Kyle Larson below.

After the purchase of ASCOC, the division drastically expanded. In 2024, the number is events grew significantly to over 50 events.

In 2025, the series is expanding once more. Now, 61 events on the schedule via 36 facilities across 20 states.

High Limit and the World of Outlaws now operate in the same national scene of sprint car racing. They are in direct competition. But, a merger isn’t out of the question.

Last year, Larson spoke briefly on High Limit and the Outlaws operating in the same space.

"Excited to prove to people that we are good. And, what the Outlaws do going forward. Because I'm sure they'll have to change their business model a little bit to continue to be the premier series, like they are," Larson told FloRacing last year.

Kyle Larson comments on possible merger

"I think that's a thought probably,” Kyle Larson just told the Sports Business Journal of a possible merger between the two national sprint car series.

“It's at least a topic that we've talked about as something that could potentially happen down the road. And, I'm sure even World Racing Group has probably had that run through their minds as well.”

Larson added, “I don't think we're to that point yet but hopefully whatever happens will be for the betterment of the sport."

Charter system

High Limit Racing issued five charters after the 2024 season. In 2025, five more charters are set to be issued to the top cars in points, who ran every race and didn’t earn a charter in the previous season.

For 2026, ten teams will hold charters. Those teams are set to share 50% of the streaming revenue.

In 2024, High Limit says that 100,000 fans viewed 52 events on average.
