The World Supersport Championship has all three title contenders starting from the front row.

Yari Montella clinches pole position at Estoril for the penultimate round of the World Supersport season. The Italian rider is still challenging for the Supersport title and can challenge the Aruba.it Racing WSSP Team.

In second place was Adrian Huertas, the current World Supersport Championship leader. The Italian is heading to Moto2 in 2025 and wants to enter the Championship as the World Supersport Champion.

At the end of the front row is the Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing rider of Stefano Manzi. The Italian rider could still pinch second place in the Championship from Montella if he has a bad end to the season.

The second row of the grid has been locked out by Yamaha riders. Valentin Debise will start from fourth place on the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha, Glenn van Straalen will start from fifth on the Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing and then Lucas Mahias will start from sixth on the GMT94 Yamaha.

Simone Corsi heads the third row of the grid on the Renzi Corse Ducati Panigale V2.

The top Triumph at the end of the Superpole session was Ondrej Vostatek in eighth place.

Niki Tuuli looks like he will exit the World Supersport Championship at the end of the 2024 season. However, he has qualified in ninth place for his penultimate in the class.

Completing the top ten was Federico Caricasulo, who was also the top MV Agusta rider on Friday.
