Team HRC will be a man down at the opening World Superbike Test of the year.

At the end of the 2024 World Superbike season, Iker Lecuona missed the final race of the 2024 season after he fractured his left foot.

The Spaniard's 2025 World Superbike season was meant to start this week at the Jerez Test. However, Team HRC will be a rider short as Lecuona will miss the two-day test in the south of Spain.

Lecuona is still recovering from injuries that he sustained in a training crash two weeks ago. The 25-year-old suffered a cracked rib and minor contusions, which were not serious injuries but enough to sideline him for the upcoming test.

It is expected that Lecuona will return to testing duties next week at the two-day Portimao Test before travelling to Phillip Island.

Team HRC will still participate in the two-day Jerez Test and will field Xavi Vierge and Honda test rider, Tetsuta Nagashima throughout the test.
