Yuki Tsunoda, RB (Accident, Lap 1): 6/10
Mexico started well for Yuki Tsunoda who was on impressive form in FP1 where he was third quickest behind George Russell and Carlos Sainz, and again in FP2. But then it all started to slip away, culminating in his heavy crash at the end of Q2 that left him lining up for the race in 11th place on the grid. The start of the race saw him make contact with Williams' Alex Albon and the pair took each other out on the spot. There wasn't much either driver could do about the incident but it didn't make it any easier for the disappointed RB driver to swallow.

Alex Albon, Williams (Accident, Lap 1): 6.5/10
Alex Albon is going through a bit of a tough period at the moment. Austin was one of his weakest weekends of the year, and Mexico was little better: an accident early in first practice sidelined him for FP2 leaving him playing catch-up on Saturday - to the extent that getting all the way through to the final round of qualifying was quite an achievement, especially when his Williams team mate Franco Colapinto had missed the first cut at the end of Q1. It should have set him up for a productive race but he got squeezed between Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda at the start and was unfairly taken out before the first corner.
