2025 Mazda 3 price and specs: Connected Services added, safety pack standard for more variants

The Mazda 3 has received connected-car technology for 2025, while the Vision Technology package is now fitted to more variants as standard.

An update for the 2025 Mazda 3 hatch and sedan has been announced for Australia with more standard equipment – including new connected-car technology.
Mazda Connected Services – which debuted in Australia in the updated MX-5 at the start of 2024 – is now available across the Mazda 3 line-up, adding a built-in SIM card to allow the vehicle to automatically call emergency services in the event of a collision.
Accessible through the 'MyMazda' application, drivers can also locate their vehicle, remotely check items such as tyre pressures, lock or unlock the car, flash the headlights, set a geofence, or set a curfew.
Mazda Connected Services is complimentary from the first three years once the vehicle is registered, when an annual subscription will then be required. The brand has not confirmed pricing details for this subscription.
All variants can now be selected with a new Zircon Sand exterior colour, while illuminated USB-C charge ports – replacing USB-A – have been added to the G20 Pure and G20 Evolve entry-level grades.
The G20 Evolve is also now fitted with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support and a wireless phone charger – matching upper-spec variants.
The previously-optional Vision Technology package – adding front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, front cross-traffic alert, a driver monitoring system, traffic jam assist, and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen – is now standard on the G20 Touring, G25 Evolve SP, and G25 GT. It remains optional for the G20 Pure and G20 Evolve priced at $2000.
Prices have increased between $320 and $970 to account for the new equipment, with the largest increase applied to the Evolve.
However, the GT grade is now $80 more affordable when compared with the outgoing version equipped with the Vision Technology package.
The 2025 Mazda 3 will arrive in Australian showrooms in now.
