2025 Skoda Octavia price and specs: Select trim leads cheaper facelifted line-up

The Skoda Octavia mid-size car has been updated with a new look and technology, initially offered in a more affordable base model ahead of performance versions next year.

The facelifted 2025 Skoda Octavia has arrived in Australia with updated styling and technology – plus a lower drive-away price than before, starting from $41,490 drive-away.
Arriving first is the new entry-level Octavia, badged Select – replacing the outgoing Style – ahead of the black-accented Sportline and high-performance RS between January and March next year, according to Skoda Australia.
The Select liftback is $1000 cheaper than the Style liftback – while the Select wagon is the same price as the previous Style wagon – but some features have been removed to offset additional equipment for the facelifted model.
The 2025 Octavia gains restyled front and rear bumpers, new LED headlights, and revised tail-light graphics and wheel designs, while inside there is a new 13-inch touchscreen (up from 10 inches) running software claimed to be easier to use.

The wireless phone charger is now ventilated – to prevent a charging phone getting too hot – while the instrument display graphics have been updated.
Further changes are expected for higher-grade models due in Australia early next year.
While it has gained features, the new Select grade swaps the Style’s matrix LED headlights for conventional LED lights – without auto high beams – and lacks keyless (proximity-key) entry.
There are no longer any option packs, in line with other updated Skoda cars in Australia.
Skoda boasts about the 600-litre boot of the Octavia liftback, with the wagon increasing space to 640L.
Powering the Octavia Select is an unchanged 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine developing 110kW and 250Nm, matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission spinning the front wheels.
The Sportline will share the Select’s engine, while the inbound RS flagship is set to develop 195kW/370Nm (up from 180kW/370Nm) using a revised 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and seven-speed dual-clutch auto.
