Cars on display at this year’s Melbourne Motor Show won’t just be limited to car brands as Hot Wheels will also showcase a number of vehicles.

It might not be a big-name car brand like Kia, Tesla, or Isuzu, but Hot Wheels will share floorspace with heavy hitters at the 2025 Melbourne Motor Show.

Confirmed as an exhibitor, the Hot Wheels space will be designed for "kids and collectors alike", according to Mattel Asia Pacific Senior Director of Marketing, Tim Nolan.

"We can't wait to be part of the highly anticipated return of the Melbourne Motor Show," Nolan said.

"This much-loved event is the perfect opportunity to connect with both car enthusiasts and our passionate Hot Wheels community, bringing the excitement of the brand to life with immersive experiences for kids and collectors alike."

On display will be a number of vehicles – though its not confirmed whether they are life-size replicas of famous Hot Wheels models like Bone Shaker and the Deora II, or simply existing production models with a brand-appropriate makeover.

Hot Wheels will also have on show rare merchandise from its 56-year history, sourced from around the world and on loan from a number of collectors, for showgoers to peruse.

And to cater towards the younger demographic, there is also a kid-friendly Hot wheels Mega Race Track, stalls to play Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged on PlayStation, and an arts and craft section.

"We're looking forward to turning up the heat for kids and car enthusiasts through interactive experiences," Nolan said.

"It's gearing up to be a great weekend."

The 2025 Melbourne Motor Show runs from April 5-6, with all show exhibitors outlined here.
