Focus on Singapore first, then Austin: Ferrari remains pragmatic in Formula 1, awaiting the new front wing. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix demonstrated the strength of the SF-24 single-seater on tracks with sharp corners, where traction matters and cornering balance is not a key factor. The next round of the 2024 Formula 1 championship reflects similar characteristics, and the goal is to repeat the 2023 triumph at the Marina Bay street circuit.

Ferrari leaves Baku with a bittersweet feeling but with some certainties about their car. The disappointment of Charles Leclerc's missed victory is significant because, after Monza, another win seemed like a completely realistic prospect. The SF-24 performs well and can compete, on certain types of circuits, even with the best in class (the MCL38, of course).

In Singapore, the new front wing will debut, promising greater aerodynamic efficiency and better airflow management in synergy with the new floor. It's a concept expected to follow Woking's footsteps in terms of high-speed flexibility. For Ferrari team boss Frédéric Vasseur, Marina Bay will be an important step and the main focus at this stage.

"If [the performance of the SF-24] depends on the track, then that's good because next weekend will have the same type of corners," explained the Ferrari team principal. "We'll have time to discuss Austin, but first there's Singapore, and I want to get a good result there, like we did last year, to challenge our rivals." – the French manager pointed out ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix weekend.

"We're on a good trend, and we need to continue this way to earn more points than in Baku," continued the French engineer. "But the pace was there all weekend, from the first lap of FP1 to the end of the race, and that's the most important aspect. If next week we can get more points, with the same pace, it would be a nice step forward." – Fred Vasseur concluded.
