Ferrari has adapted the SF-25 single-seater we saw during the Bahrain pre-season testing session to the characteristics of the Albert Park track, the Melbourne street circuit, which is the venue for the first race of the 2025 Formula 1 season this weekend.

It should not be surprising that the engine cover was opened in the bazooka area: the significantly warmer temperatures in Australia, compared to the "cold" recorded in Sakhir, prompted the Maranello engineers to open three vents for radiator heat dissipation instead of the single solution we saw both during the SF-25 presentation and pre-season tests.

The red car shows a certain hunger for air to protect the reliability of the power unit 066/12. It's unfortunate to note how unesthetic the carbon gill openings are, which have remained black, significantly disrupting the design of the white patch introduced for the generous sponsor Hp, but every gram of paint saved can be useful in the pursuit of performance…

On the back of the engine cover, the small heat vents that we had already seen have been confirmed, and they have taken inspiration from a solution introduced by Alpine and later developed in various ways by Ferrari customer teams.
