Formula 1 and the LEGO Group have introduced a new range of LEGO sets following the announcement of a multi-year partnership earlier this year. The products, set to be released in early 2025, include LEGO DUPLO, LEGO CITY, LEGO Speed Champions, LEGO Collectibles, and LEGO Technic sets featuring all ten Formula 1 teams.
These sets are designed for fans of all ages, offering detailed models of F1 cars with authentic liveries and Pirelli tires. The LEGO Speed Champions sets allow fans to build their favorite teams' cars and role-play as drivers.
The LEGO Collectibles range enables fans to create miniature versions of all ten teams, including show cars, and to recreate thrilling races. For younger fans, the LEGO DUPLO Town F1 Team Race Cars & Drivers set provides a simpler building experience. It features ten buildable cars, three LEGO DUPLO drivers, a starting grid, and a podium, along with customization options for team liveries.
The big surprise from Lego for Ferrari fans and beyond
The LEGO City F1 range consists of six sets, enabling fans to recreate an entire Grand Prix weekend. This includes team garages, transport trucks, and race scenarios like pit stops and the starting grid. The new products were unveiled at the 2024 Las Vegas Formula 1 Grand Prix and mark the beginning of a long-term collaboration between Formula 1 and LEGO, featuring interactive “Build the Thrill” activities to bring fans closer to the F1 world.
Emily Prazer from Formula 1 and Julia Goldin from the LEGO Group highlighted the excitement surrounding this partnership, aiming to bring fans closer to F1 while fostering creativity through LEGO brick building.
When will the Formula 1 Lego sets be released?
All F1 Lego sets will be released on March 1, 2025, and will be available in all European countries, Great Britain, and America.
How much will the Formula 1 Lego sets cost?
All LEGO Speed Champions sets will cost €27, with piece counts varying by team. For example, the Ferrari F1 set will have 275 pieces, the Red Bull set 251, and the Mercedes set 267. The Ferrari Technic set, however, will include 1,362 pieces and cost approximately €220 ($229.99).
