As an NFL coach, Joe Gibbs famously won three Super Bowls with three different quarterbacks. So as a NASCAR team owner, it‘s no surprise his organization has a solid second-string option on the bench.
Ryan Truex, the 32-year-old younger brother of future NASCAR Hall of Famer Martin Truex Jr., quietly moved into the reserve driver role for all of JGR‘s Cup Series and Xfinity Series teams late last year and will be the organization‘s go-to backup for 2025.
