Hyundai’s new Santa Fe has gained a pair of XRT off-road packages with all-terrain tyres, new wheels and lifted suspension.

Hyundai Australia has given the new 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid family SUV an off-road makeover with a new pair of XRT option packs now available through dealers.

As reported by Drive in July, the XRT treatment will be offered on Santa Fe SUVs in Australia in the form of Hyundai dealer-fit accessory packs – available on newly-ordered and already-delivered examples – rather than a factory-built variant like in the US.

But contrary to earlier speculation, the local XRT packs extend beyond just styling upgrades, and include changes to wheels, tyres and suspension for improved performance off the tarmac.

Both packages add 17-inch (down from the standard 20-inch) black alloy wheels, Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain Plus tyres – including tyre pressure monitoring sensors – and an ‘off-road suspension kit’ that lifts the vehicle by 30mm through new springs, struts and hubs.

The cheaper of the two packages, the $6990 XRT Adventure Option Pack, adds the aforementioned upgrades plus black polyurethane plastic mud flaps, and an underbody skid plate.

The $9990 XRT Peak Option Pack is only available on all-wheel-drive models, adding the contents of the XRT Adventure plus integrated black side steps with a 200kg maximum loading capacity, and roof racks with an 80kg load rating.

Hyundai does not state if the roof rack load ratings are static or dynamic.

The XRT Peak also includes a roof platform, dark-tinted window weathershields, and a dark-tinted bonnet protector.

The prices listed on the Hyundai Australia website include the cost of fitment, and are correct at the time of publishing. Prices for the Santa Fe range – before the option packs – range from $55,500 to $75,000 plus on-road costs.

Compared to US-market XRTs, the Australian version rides on smaller alloy wheels (17s vs 18s), and lacks dark chrome exterior trim, and embossing on the leather seats.

There are no changes to the Santa Fe’s hybrid drivetrain, combining a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor for 172kW combined.
