Audi wreaks havoc in Melbourne suburb, crashing at least seven times

Police said the alleged thieves were involved in "at least seven collisions" before apprehending two of the three occupants, with authorities asking for public assistance in locating the third person.
St Kilda police in Victoria are asking for public assistance relating to an incident in Toorak – a south-eastern suburb approximately 5km from Melbourne – where an allegedly stolen Audi sedan was involved in "at least seven collisions” on 10 December, 2024.
According to authorities, the luxury car was "seen driving erratically along Toorak Road" with three occupants aboard, before the vehicle stopped and the occupants fled the scene on foot.
One witness told 3AW journalist and radio host Jacqui Felgate, "A car has run right through Toorak village. [The] Audi had rammed into maybe three cars, driving very quickly."
"It's driven into the middle of the road [and] hit cars on the opposite side of the road and had become wedged. Then maybe three guys in masks and hoodies left [the scene]. It was pretty quick," they added.
Authorities confirmed no one was injured during the incident.
The allegedly stolen Audi A4 sedan was believed to be spotted driving along Hampton Park – a south-eastern suburb approximately 36km from Melbourne – hours before the incident occured, with dash cam footage of what appears to be the vehicle uploaded to the social media platform Facebook.
Victoria Police said a 23-year-old man from Hampton Park and a 14-year-old boy were arrested along Alexandra Avenue shortly after.
The teenager was later released pending further enquiries, while the 23-year-old man was still being interviewed by police when the police information as released on Tuesday morning 10 December, while the remaining unknown offender was also yet to be identified and located at the time.
