Margot Robbie’s choice of family car is stylish, powerful and sustainably minded – just like the actress herself.
As Margot Robbie prepares to welcome her first child with husband Tom Ackerley, it appears the busy star has at least one thing sorted: her future family car.

The Queensland-born actress and producer has been spotted attending multiple meetings around her home base of Los Angeles this month, with photographers eager to snap a photo of the pregnant star’s baby bump.
In the process, they’ve inadvertently captured the car Robbie has chosen to tackle the daycare run: A black Audi SQ8 Sportback e-tron.
The electric performance SUV can be glimpsed in the background of recent photos of Robbie and Ackerley heading to a business meeting in the upmarket suburb of Brentwood.
While we can’t officially confirm that it’s Robbie’s chariot of choice (unfortunately we don’t have her on speed dial), the SQ8 e-tron does appear in other recent paparazzi snaps of the actress.
The SQ8 e-tron is a large, fully electric performance SUV priced from $172,984 before on-road costs in Australia.
Despite its hefty size, it’s capable of punching out 370kW and 973Nm, with three electric motors propelling it to a top speed of 210km/h.
The Sportback variant Robbie seems to have selected for her garage features a sportier, coupe-style roofline and commands a price premium over the wagon-style SQ8.
It’s somewhat unsurprising that Robbie has opted for the Audi SUV as her family car given she’s reportedly owned an Audi A6 and Audi R8 in the past.
Plus, the SQ8 e-tron is the perfect mum-mobile for a Hollywood star on the go. In the words of Drive‘s Rob Margeit: “Audi's flagship electric SUV provides a near-perfect blend of comfort and performance.”
It’s also no surprise the actress is an electric car enthusiast – she’s an outspoken advocate for the environment and has previously served as a sustainability ambassador for Japanese carmaker Nissan, driving an electric Nissan Leaf in the process.
