Ferrari 2025 F1 car: details emerge about livery of SF-25

The 2025 Formula 1 season is just around the corner. However, before hitting the track for the seasonal tests, we will have to wait for the new single-seaters. This year, unlike previous ones, all cars will be unveiled on the same day. A single grand event organized by F1 for the 2025 championship. The date is already set: February 18. But what will the new cars look like? What can we expect from the new liveries? Here are the first details about Ferrari's livery for the 2025 F1 season.

More black on the cars? In 2025, this shouldn't be the case…
In recent seasons, we've seen teams gradually abandon color. The reason lies in the quest for minimum weight. In a sport where thousandths of a second make the difference, saving a few grams becomes crucial. Especially when it's about aesthetics rather than a few grams…

Red Bull was the first to lead the way. The energy drink team was, in fact, the first to give up the glossy livery in an attempt to save weight. And so, we come to last year. In the 2024 F1 season, several teams "left parts of their single-seaters bare" to save weight. The result? Exposed carbon fiber. A lot of black dominated the scene, saving about 1 kg in weight. In terms of performance, however, the advantage is marginal. It's estimated that the "stripping" of the cars brought an advantage of about 0.03 seconds per lap.

This year, however, things should be different—at least on paper. The regulations for the 2025 F1 season increase the car's minimum weight from 798 kg to 800 kg. The additional 2 kg, excluding technical solutions adopted, will allow color to return to the 2025 F1 cars. Additionally, 5 kg will be added to the minimum weight where a cooling system is required for the hottest races.

Here's what Ferrari's livery for 2025 will look like
With that said, Ferrari's livery for the 2025 F1 season promises to be bold. According to information from Autoracer.it, the style, combinations, and colors will be new. Specifically, the shade of red used by the Maranello team will change. For the Ferrari 677, the Prancing Horse is expected to choose a new red, more intense than that used in recent seasons. However, the tone should not be as extreme as the maroon red used by Ferrari during the Tuscany Grand Prix to celebrate its 1000th race.

We will have to wait until February 18 to see the livery that Ferrari will wear for the 2025 F1 season…
