In a recent interview, Ferrari team principal Frédéric Vasseur discussed the team’s goal for 2025.
Fred Vasseur’s comments
When asked if Hamilton’s arrival could raise expectations, the Frenchman replied: “We certainly need to manage the atmosphere surrounding the team.”
“Pressure is not the right word to describe it, but the passion of the fans, and that of the media, is completely different [compared to other teams, ed.].”
“The goal is the same, the company’s approach is the same: trying to do the best with the car and the engineers. We need to maintain this focus and not be too concentrated on the outside world.”
“Are we aiming to win the World Championship? Yes. It's the next step. We finished P3, P2 [in the Constructors’ standings, ed.], we are heading in that direction. We are making good progress as a team and with the car.” – Frederic Vasseur pointed out.
“I am convinced it will not be easy. McLaren is doing an excellent job. I am sure Mercedes and Red Bull will push to come back, and next year there will be a great fight on track with at least four teams.” – the Ferrari team principal added.
“As I've already said, it won't be easy, but I believe we are putting everything together to make it happen,” Fred Vasseur concluded.
