Ferrari’s super duo Lewis Hamilton – Charles Leclerc ready to debut
In just a few days, Lewis Hamilton will walk through the gates of Maranello to finally meet Ferrari’s mechanics and engineers. This marks the beginning of an adventure that has Tifosi eagerly anticipating, hungry as they are for a drivers' championship that has eluded them since 2007.

For the seven-time world champion, following George Russell, another teammate awaits who certainly won’t make life easy for him. That teammate is, of course, Charles Leclerc, with whom Hamilton must build a collaborative relationship in Ferrari’s best interest—a relationship that will inevitably be tested on track.

Nico Rosberg’s comments
The three years with George Russell were calm (aside from a few sparks, such as Suzuka 2023), but it’s also true that during this time, Mercedes never fought for the championship—something Ferrari aims to do in 2025. Nothing tests the relationship between two teammates like a battle for supremacy, especially when both start on an equal footing (one with a stellar track record, the other with team experience), without a clear hierarchy between first and second drivers.

This is a situation Hamilton has faced before in his career, notably with Nico Rosberg, who became increasingly competitive until snatching the title from him in 2016. The German now believes Leclerc could pull off a similar upset: “If we take Abu Dhabi (as a reference), Charles would definitely come out on top. Leclerc is at a level similar to Russell, while Lewis is struggling. As of today, Charles Leclerc will beat him in the same way George Russell did,” Nico Rosberg told Sky Sports F1 in the UK.

“However, Lewis is the greatest of all time. We still give him the benefit of the doubt that he can return to his best; in that case, he should be slightly ahead of Charles by the end of the year.” – the 2016 Formula 1 world champion concluded.
