Scuderia Ferrari made headlines at the end of the 2024 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix not so much for the underwhelming result but for the tension between the two drivers. Between Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, heated words were exchanged over a contact that, according to the Monegasque, cost him the podium, while the Spaniard labeled it as a simple racing duel. Team principal Frederic Vasseur denied that the damage was significant, perhaps trying to calm the waters, at least in front of the media.

Given that this topic is still making the rounds, Jean Alesi wanted to post a humorous photomontage on social media showing him forcing Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc to shake hands. “Peace, no war. Forza Ferrari,” wrote the former driver alongside the Instagram story, also adding the Italian anthem as background music (and tagging the wrong Carlos Sainz). After all, the Frenchman is still in love with the Scuderia, as evidenced by other images and his almost constant presence in the Ferrari garage; it is clear that he wants to put the team’s well-being above everything else.
